After only two years I was able to get my complete FBI files under the Freedom of Information Act. Of course they made "exemptions" in "the interest of national defense and foreign policy." I can't see materials that "could reasonably be expected to constitute an unwarranted invasion of (my) personal privacy" or "could reasonably be expected to disclose the identity of a confidential source, including a State, local or foreign agency or authority or any private institution which furnished information on a confidential basis...."
